We hired bikes again in Amsterdam and discovered on the outskirts of the city a large area reserved for holiday homes. Each home had an allocated area of land and usually a one or two room cottage on it. We were invited in by Toos who is the proud owner of this cottage. Her friend Francine joined us for tea. What wonderful friendly and welcoming people. We hope we can reciprecate their generousity when they visit New Zealand
