There are some 2000 house boats moored along the canals of Amsterdam. On the left you will see that some are actual boats which pepole have developed into a living residency while others look more like a purpose built house. They are connected to water, power and sewerage and although it might seem a great idea you have to be prepared with the endless numbers of sightseeing boats tripping passed almost 24/7
