As you know I sent an email to the Pope to meet up for a birthday dinner since I would be in Rome when I turned 60. Unfortunately he didn't reply so we went to his summer palace where he was staying as Rome was becoming too busy for him. His summer holiday home was fantastic but there were guards stationed at the door. I did send my darling wife up to use her catholic charm but alas she was turned away. Unfortunately the Pope missed out on a good night and my great company. hahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Shame on the pope. How could he resist charming Bridget and good company from 2 awesome Kiwis. He may have heard through the grapevine about your sense of humour Garry and was very worried especially as you were celebrating the BIG 60. Hahaha
